About Marianna Veriki

Marianna is a highly experienced Physiotherapist working with children and their families. She graduated with a BSc from Fontys University of Applied Sciences, Eindhoven, The Netherlands. As part of her studies Marianna had the opportunity to work at the renowned Cleveland Clinic Hospital, Ohio USA where she developed her skills in numerous conditions including musculoskeletal, neurological and respiratory. She later specialised in children with neurological conditions and received a MSc in Paediatric Physiotherapy from UCL, London, UK.
Since 2016, Marianna has been working for different Paediatric Physiotherapy services in London, induing the NHS, and is currently employed by Homerton University Hospital, leading the Gait and Orthotics service for children with neurodisabilities. She helps babies, children and young adults who have neurological, developmental, genetic and chronic conditions to access activities they enjoy and improve their quality of life.
Throughout her career Marianna engaged in research, supervised and trained junior physiotherapists and contributed to service development projects. She has completed various courses relevant to infants and children and recently qualified as a yoga instructor. Not expecting to become a yoga teacher, she realised how aspects of yoga can be used for therapeutic reasons for children and adults. She now uses yoga for therapeutic reasons with her clients and balances her work both in the NHS and the private sector.
